JSM’s top management is committed to impartiality in its accreditation services and provides opportunities for effective engagement by stakeholders to safeguard impartiality through the National Accreditation Committee (NAC).
- Responsibility: JSM is responsible for the impartiality of its accreditation activities.
- Integrity: Personnel and committees under JSM shall act impartially and shall not allow commercial, financial, or other pressures to compromise impartiality.
- Conflict of Interest:
- JSM will not offer or provide any conformity assessment activities.
- JSM will not offer or provide consultancy services to conformity assessment bodies.
- Activities under JSM shall not be commercialized or offered in connection with consultancy activities.
- Decision Making: JSM shall not use external resources in making accreditation decisions.
- Assessor Conduct: JSM assessors shall not be involved in assessment or accreditation activities if they have been involved in consultancy services for that specific conformity assessment body.
- Risk Mitigation: JSM will take action and respond to any threats to its impartiality arising from the actions of other persons, organizations, or conformity assessment bodies.
Commitment and Documentation
All personnel and committees under JSM are committed to full compliance with this declaration. All personnel and committees—including the Director General, top management, staff, committees, assessors, and technical experts—are required to complete and sign the Undertaking for Maintaining Confidentiality and Impartiality and Declaration of No Conflict of Interest form.
