Standards About Standard
  • Standard” means a document established by consensus and approved by a recognized body, that provides, for common and repeated use, rules, guidelines or characteristics for activities or their results, aimed at the achievement of the optimum degree of order in a given context, with which compliance is not mandatory.

    What is Standard

  • Level of standard is based on geographical, political or economic extent of involvement in standardisation. Basically, there are five (5) level of standard identified as below:

  • Malaysian Standard (MS) is a national standard developed by Standards Development Committee (SDC) within the Malaysian Standards Development System and approved by the Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry in accordance with Standards of Malaysia Act 1996 [Act 549].
